This week is about TRUTH & RECONCILIATION. Reconciliation means fixing the relationship between Canadians and First Nations People. What do you know about Indian Residential Schools? What were Indian Residential Schools? Why were First Nations children sent to Indian Residential Schools? Who ran the schools? What were some of the effects of Indian Residential Schools on First Nations people? Why do you think it might be important to learn about Indian Residential Schools? Explain.

This is the ONLY blog for the week! As a parent, one of the most important things for me is  protecting my children. Should parents  CENSOR  their children from violent  TV SHOWS, VIDEO GAMES  and/or  MOVIES? Explain.

The federal election (for Canada's Prime Minister) is being held on Monday, September 20,2021. That is why we have NO SCHOOL! Do you and your family follow politics? What makes Canada such a GREAT country? If you were the Prime Minister, how would you continue to make Canada great? How would you IMPROVE Canada? Explain.  

Have you ever been on a plane? Do you remember your first plane trip? Where did you go? On September 11, 2001, the world changed. Flying somewhere today is a whole new experience. It has been 20 years since the tragic events in NYC What do you know about the attacks on September 11, 2001? Why is it important to understand how 9/11 affected the world? Explain.

The Chinese government are taking BACK TO SCHOOL to a whole NEW level! The Chinese government is proposing a law that  limits  children under 18 to less than 90 minutes of playing video games on weekdays and three hours on weekends , with no video game playing allowed between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.   What do you think about this proposal? Why do you feel the Chinese government is making this proposal? What are the advantages/disadvantages of this proposal? Explain.
